The EPR Training Coordinator will line manage the EPR Administration Team and will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and evaluation of EPR training activities to ensure the successful implementation, adoption, and optimisation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. The postholder will ensure effective training schedules and actively engage stakeholders. Significantly, the EPR Training Coordinator will ensure staff impacted by the implementation of the EPR system receive the required training and are supported to use the EPR confidently and safely.
The postholder will provide effective leadership and direction to the EPR Administration Team, fostering a culture of assurance excellence. They will also act as the administration lead, coordinating training schedules, collating staff/stakeholder feedback, attending CORGI meetings, and continuously reviewing and improving the EPR training offer.
The postholder will also deputise for the Director of Education on all matters relating to training quality and training completion data. On occasions, the postholder may be asked to deputise for the Head of Education Programmes and Lifelong Learning as required.
Change management skills and best practice knowledge will be required to ensure success in this highly complex and high-risk programme of work, with an emphasis on positive movement towards new ways of working with longevity.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide effective leadership and direction to the Administration Training Team, fostering a culture of assurance and excellence.
2. Collaborate with the relevant project managers, clinical leads and digital teams to align the training programme with the overall project timelines and key training delivery milestones.
3. Supporting the Director of Education in the delivery of specific training projects, taking delegated responsibility for specific actions and deliverables.
4. Responsible for coordination and administration of all designated EPR training programmes and courses including structuring and reviewing training schedules to enable successful implementation and adoption of the EPR system.
5. Deputising for the Director of Education as required.
6. Lead the EPR Training Administration Team, with line management responsibility for EPR Administrators (Band 4/Band 5)
7. Be responsible for the effective recruitment and selection of EPR Administrators (Band 4/Band 5)
8. Be responsible for the appraisal processes, objective setting, training and development of EPR Administrators (Band 4/Band 5).
9. Lead on the coordinating and scheduling of a training plan
10. Be responsible for the continuing refinement and adjusting of training delivery plans based on programme and Trust needs
11. Be responsible for organisation of high-quality training rooms and required physical resource
12. Management responsibility for production of high-quality training collateral, manuals and exercises delivered through a variety of media
