Newbald Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a great opportunity to become part of a nurturing school community where children are supported to thrive.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic and a strong team player, with excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude. The role involves supporting teaching and learning across all year groups, both in the classroom and on a one-to-one basis. You may work closely with individual pupils, including those with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), helping to provide tailored support that meets their specific needs.
The successful candidate will assist class teachers in delivering high-quality learning and may also be asked to provide occasional cover for the class teacher, stepping into a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role as needed. For this reason, previous teaching experience or teacher training is essential. There may also be times when support is needed across a small school such as assisting in the school office, so a flexible and can-do approach is important.
The role is Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.30pm (term time only), with a 1 hour lunch break. The successful candidate will be required to work as a lunch time supervisor for 30 minutes during this time.
Newbald Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references
Online applications close on 3 July. Applications will be received at the school up until 9am on 4 July.

DBS/Medical check
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance check. The school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare. All members of staff are expected to share this commitment.
