Position Summary We are seeking to recruit a reporting expert into our Accounting Operations (AO) team within Financial Services, as a Financial Accountant. This is a great opportunity to build your financial accounting experience, working with multiple stakeholders in both the business and other finance teams; our Nestle SA head office in Switzerland and our external auditors EY. The role will build life-long technical and financial skills to carry through your entire career, making it a superb finance development opportunity. Accounting Operations is an expert team with a huge range of experience across Finance and Reporting. The team provide accurate and timely reporting for all United Kingdom and Ireland (UK&I) legal entities. A day in the life of an AO Financial Accountant The role covers a wide remit of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting with specific focus on the Balance Sheet. It includes responsibility for: - Ensuring Balance Sheet Integrity and compliance with Nestle Accounting Standards at all times - Working with the above market shared service team who support market reporting - Legal entity reporting to Nestle SA - Preparation of UK&I legal entity Statutory Accounts and liaising with company directors on reporting - Coordinating efforts with the Tax team on tax reporting - Fostering an effective working relationship for audit reporting with EY, to continuously improve audit efficiency - Local and global improvement projects within SAP What will make you successful The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting accurate and timely reporting from UK&I to Nestle SA, so having or developing corporate reporting experience is critical. To be succeed in the role you will need: - Strong results focus and able to prioritise effectively; a proactive and flexible approach; good initiative; sound judgement and great attention to detail - To be a real team player with good communication skills that enable you to influence and develop effective business relationships - CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification, plus good Excel skills - Some previous corporate reporting experience would be beneficial What you need to know What can we offer in return?
