To undertake independent endoscopy lists in either upper or lower GI endoscopy Based at the Quadram Institute endoscopy unit.

Main duties of the job
Work as an autonomous practitioner performing upper and/or lower GI endoscopy, whilst adhering to local and national guidelines and policies.
Attend relevant JAG training courses
Assess patients medical and physiological suitability to who are referred for endoscopic procedures, to include social, physical and emotional factors.
Ability to produce accurate patient reports following endoscopic procedures
To provide informed consent to include possible side effects, risks and possible outcomes
Interpret results from endoscopic procedures and communicate these to patients and their relatives/ carers.
Refer patients for additional relevant tests/ procedures based on endoscopy results
