The Role
As a Tractor & Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a range of tractors and construction machinery to support sports field and land drainage projects. This is a varied role where no two days are the same – from drainage installation and ground preparation to sports pitch construction and renovation.
You'll be working closely with a small team, where everyone chips in to get the job done to the highest standards.
Key Duties
* Safe and efficient operation of tractors, trailers, and turf/construction machinery
* Supporting the installation of sports turf and land drainage systems
* Assisting with ground preparation, cultivation, and site works
* Carrying out routine checks and basic maintenance on machinery
* Working as part of a small team, helping complete tasks to a high standard
* Taking responsibility for completing tasks to a high standard, whether large or small.
What We're Looking For
* Previous tractor and machinery operating experience (agriculture or construction background – both an advantage)
* Confident, adaptable and able to use initiative
* Reliable, with a strong work ethic and practical approach
* Holds a full UK driving licence (essential)
* CPCS or additional tickets (e.g. forklift, first aid) are beneficial but not essential – training will be provided if required
* Additional machine/skills tickets (e.g. forklift, first aid) are advantageous but not essential.
