Salary: £150 - £200 per day (depending on experience and pay scale)
Are you an experienced or aspiring SEND Teacher with a passion for inclusive education?
Protocol Education is working in partnership with a number of specialist SEND schools across South Shields, supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), SEMH, and communication challenges.
We are currently recruiting Primary and Secondary SEND Teachers who are committed to creating safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environments where every pupil can thrive.
The Role:
* Plan and deliver creative, personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of learners
* Teach small groups or 1:1, adapting the curriculum to meet EHCP targets
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
* Use behaviour support strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviour
* Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and families to support progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* QTS or QTLS – essential
* Experience teaching in an SEND or alternative provision setting (preferred, but not essential)
* Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and behaviour management
* A trauma-informed, compassionate approach
* High levels of resilience and flexibility
