In this role, you will assist the Business Continuity Manager to coordinate and support the development, embedding, and management of Business Continuity standards within EUI.
You will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, primarily focusing on third-party aspects of Business Continuity. The role requires a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in maintaining and embedding Business Continuity Management documentation and activities, ensuring alignment with the Admiral Group Business Continuity Policy and standards.
2. Produce risk assessments for third-party BCPs to ensure their BCM standards match Admirals.
3. Coordinate collection of third-party information, including ISO certifications, DR tests, BCPs, policies, and processes.
4. Produce office risk assessments outlining the risk profile of company buildings.
5. Act as minute taker and secretary for departmental meetings, including coordination and follow-up.
6. Assess business continuity risks and track them with the support of the EUI Risk Team.
7. Ensure BCM documentation is regularly checked and up to standard.
8. Participate in business continuity exercises to identify gaps in plans.
Additionally, you will support the team in delivering broader objectives as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
1. Strong interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders across the organization.
2. Ability to build positive relationships and support organizational decision-making.
3. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
4. Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
5. Practical experience with resilience methodologies (business continuity, disaster recovery, BIA, operational resilience).
6. Knowledge of business continuity standards (ISO22301) and experience with BCM tools like Fusion is preferable.
7. Experience in large insurance or financial organizations is advantageous.
8. Good awareness of financial services regulations.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
10. Strong analytical skills for producing reports and MI.
11. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
12. High attention to detail and accuracy.
13. Self-confidence to challenge and amend information as needed.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
15. Understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
