Position: SPAR Customer Team Member
Hours: 16 hours per week, possibly more when the store needs. Various shifts between 6.45am - 11.00pm, including evenings and weekends.
We have an exciting opportunity for a SPAR Customer Team Member. In this role, you will support store management and create a positive customer experience. Your responsibilities include maximising sales and profit through various tasks, contributing to store improvement, and delivering excellent customer service through ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for later and Food for now!’. Willingness to undergo Post Office financial vetting is required.

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
* Greeting customers warmly and assisting with inquiries.
* Processing purchases efficiently and accurately at the tills.
* Upselling products and highlighting offers to maximise sales.
Store Operations:
* Checking deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean sales floor.
* Rotating stock to ensure freshness and managing promotional displays.
* Completing tasks like date checking, stock and gap checking, and price changes.
* Adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Skills/Knowledge:
* Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
* Reliability, attention to detail, and understanding of retail legislation.
* Ability to contribute ideas for customer service and business growth.
* Experience with ‘Challenge 25’ policy is desirable.
* Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently.
* Cash handling experience is a plus but not essential.
