An opportunity has become available for an experienced .Net Developer to join our IT dept, to d evelop (design and build) new Azure-based websites, software and systems for Holloway, and to support existing systems through knowledge application, data updates and code fixes. Key Responsibilities: Providing code and architecture design for new IT-based solutions. Providing technical advice to management, e.g. when developing future strategy. Writing new software or systems to provide business functionality. Ensuring the code is sufficient quality to be supplied for user testing, by doing unit tests, logic tests, peer reviews etc. As a development team preparing the final code ready for release and deploying it for production usage. Fixing live data or software issues in line with business priorities. Help the department to develop its practices towards DevOps and CI/CD automation. Employing secure development practices (OWASP) to continue to keep Holloways systems and data as secure as possible. Skills & Competencies: Secure Web application development including UI design and build. The ability to design new technical solutions to solve business problems or exploit opportunities. Good problem-solving skills and to be proactive with a can-do attitude to problem solving. Time management and understanding the need to schedule work according to business priorities (which will change) is important and must be able to work as part of a team. Knowledge in the following: VB.Net, C#.Net, .Net Framework, ASP.Net, Entity Framework (essential) SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures (essential) Cloud technology especially Azure services. JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Webforms (essential) Knowledge of IP insurance and products. Microsoft stack technology (Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft365, Windows Server) IT Security (including cyber security) threats, best practices.
