The Role The Head of Operations will be responsible for leading, directing, and overseeing all operational activities. This includes ensuring efficient, safe, and effective day-to-day operations across production, logistics, and health & safety. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic oversight of the Production Department through effective leadership of the Production Manager. Monitor production performance and ensure targets are set, tracked, and achieved. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Manage the Logistics Manager and ensure smooth and efficient dispatch and delivery operations. Oversee driver training and competence, and ensure full compliance with all transport regulations. Drive performance and cost control through vehicle monitoring and resource planning. Provide leadership and oversight to the Maintenance Manager to ensure that all day-to-day maintenance activities across the site are well-coordinated, prioritised, and delivered efficiently. Ensure that all plant, equipment, and facilities are maintained to a safe and compliant standard, with minimal disruption to operations. Take overall responsibility for the companys health and safety function. Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with long-term objectives. Candidate Profile Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, preferably within manufacturing or construction sectors. Strong leadership, team development, and people management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Demonstrable experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance management. In-depth knowledge of production, logistics and health & safety regulations and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
