Summary

We’re looking for a Business Services Co-ordinator to join us at Bowe Barn, Borrowdale in Cumbria. If you’re brilliant at organisation and creating order, and you love working with people, upholding high standards in service and presentation, then this could be the role for you. Internally, you'll be known as a Business Services Co-Ordinator (place based).

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £27,612

Contract Duration: Permanent

Location: Based at the Borrowdale Bowe Barn Office for 4 days per week, and 1 day per week at the West Lakes Office

What it's like to work here

Reporting to the Business Services Lead/s for the cluster of Cumbria & Central Lancashire, you’ll be part of a friendly, dynamic team primarily based at Borrowdale Bowe Barn Office, providing business services support to the countryside team, as well as assisting colleagues across the wider cluster.

It’s an exciting time to join the team, as we’re shaping a new vision for Property Business Services and streamlining the way we support both our visitors and our colleagues.

Our friendly, outgoing teams are passionate about conserving the special places in our care, and in this role you’ll be supporting the Ranger team as they look after significant landscapes that play a vital part in restoring nature. You’ll primarily support the North & West Lakes Landscapes cluster, delivering for nature in some of the most iconic landscapes in the Lake District, from Keswick and Borrowdale to the shores of Derwent Water. You’ll be supporting teams who care for valleys, woodlands, fells and wildlife-rich wetlands. We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible, enjoys variety, and thrives as part of a busy team.

What you'll be doing

Working as part of the Restore Nature team (based at Borrowdale Bowe Barn Office for 4 days per week, and 1 day per week at the West Lakes Office) you’ll often be the first point of contact at the office, via phone and email. You’ll also be responsible for accurate record keeping and data management, financial management and reporting: including banking and petty cash, purchasing, and supporting the team with compliance tasks and administration.

You’ll be primarily based at the Bowe Barn/West Lakes offices, but you’ll also contribute to a cluster‑wide network of Business Services Coordinators. This includes monthly meetings, either online or in person, where we come together to share ideas, develop consistent ways of working, and support one another across the wider team.
