We are delighted to be supporting an international environmental organisation in their search for a Communications Assistant to join their External Affairs team. This is a full-time role, offered on a temporary basis, for 3-months in the first instance and 1-day per week onsite in Central London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for using strategic media to support purpose-led campaigns.
Key Responsibilities for this role include:
* Supporting the communications and digital teams with campaign materials, media monitoring, and process documentation.
* Assisting with the creation and updating of briefing documents, guidelines, and key messaging.
* Researching journalists and media outlets to support high-profile legal cases.
* Setting up and managing media monitoring platforms and dashboards.
* Responding to supporter enquiries and contributing to year-end appeal efforts.
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
* Fluent English (CEFR level C2) and strong written communication skills.
* Experience with Microsoft Office and design tools such as Canva.
* Knowledge of the media landscape and excellent attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage confidential information.
* A genuine interest in environmental issues and alignment with the organisation's values.
