Job Overview PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM STAFF CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY BETSI CADWALADR UNIVERSITY HEALTH BOARD THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR UPTO 31st MARCH 2026 DUE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE The post holder is an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills for patients. The post holder will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process. They will work collaboratively with the Women's Health Hub team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. Main duties of the job The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a Nurse Practitioner working within the Women's Health Hub, including (but not limited to): Development and delivery of high quality patient care. Develop opportunities for practice, which extends the scope of traditional nursing. Training and support of nurses, patients and the Hub's MDT to deliver high quality, evidence based service provision. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for patients presenting with an undifferentiated diagnosis. Clinically examine and assess patient needs from a physiological and psychological perspective, and plan clinical care accordingly. Assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate interventions/treatments for patients with complex needs. Proactively identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for patients at risk of developing a long-term condition (as appropriate). Demonstrating through day-to-day action a contemporary approach to patient-centred, prudent and team-enabling. This role will require flexibility to meet the demands of the Hub and an individual work plan will be agreed in advance with the successful applicant. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
