Support the month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain accurate and organised financial documentation. Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and budgets. Respond to internal and external finance-related queries in a timely manner. Collaborate with the wider accounting and finance team to improve processes. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies.Profile A successful Assistant Accountant should have: A strong foundation in accounting principles and financial processes. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. The ability to work effectively within a team environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. Previous experience in a similar role within the retail industry is advantageous.
