Senior Lecturer, Physiotherapy

We’ve got an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and supportive Physiotherapy team as a Senior Lecturer. You’ll contribute to the delivery, development, and leadership of our undergraduate and degree apprenticeship physiotherapy programmes, as well as engage in scholarly, research, and professional practice activities.

We welcome applicants with a broad range of clinical experience who can contribute to teaching across the programme and play an active role within the programme placement team.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across our undergraduate programmes.
* Lead modules and supervise undergraduate research dissertations.
* Act as a personal tutor and provide academic and pastoral support to students.
* Contribute to curriculum development and ensure alignment with current professional and regulatory standards.
* Coordinate Physiotherapy placements in partnership with colleagues and our University Practice Placement Office.
* Support university and practice staff in supporting students on placement and optimising their learning opportunities and experience.
* Be a source of advice for staff and students in navigating the opportunities and challenges of practice placement learning.
* Engage in research, scholarship, or knowledge exchange, depending on your profile.
About You
* Have extensive clinical experience in physiotherapy, ideally including work with older adults in community, rehabilitation, or other complex care settings.
* Are passionate about student learning and development.
* Have an understanding of clinical placements and are interested in supporting the programme placement team.
* Hold (or are working towards) a Master’s degree or can demonstrate significant postgraduate study and engagement with professional development.
* Have experience in teaching and/or a developing research or scholarly profile.
* Are HCPC‑registered as a Physiotherapist.

This post is based at our Glenside Campus, which is set within beautiful grounds in Stapleton, just three miles north east of Bristol City Centre.

This is a full‑time, permanent post. The post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
