Job Summary
A Domiciliary Care Worker provides high-quality personal care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing while adhering to care plans, safeguarding principles, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver person-centred care in line with individual care plans
* Assist with personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
* Support with medication administration as per MAR charts and training
* Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
* Provide companionship and emotional support
* Support with mobility, transfers, and use of equipment (hoists, etc.)
* Carry out light household duties including cleaning and laundry
* Monitor and report changes in service users’ physical or mental health
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided
* Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns immediately
* Work in compliance with CQC regulations, Health & Safety, and company policies
Requirements
* Previous care experience preferred but not essential (training provided)
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate, reliable, and patient approach
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to undertake mandatory training and continuous professional development
* Right to work in the UK
Working Conditions
* Community-based role (service users’ homes)
* Flexible working hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Travel between clients required
