We are looking for new Clinical Trials Administrators to join our team at the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU) at Imperial College London.
Based within the School of Public Health at Imperial, the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU) works to bring together academic and trial management expertise. Trial designs range from early stage to large confirmatory studies, with a focus currently on a number of therapeutic areas including cancer, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, respiratory disease, emergency medicine and critical care, HIV and infectious diseases. Other key areas currently being developed include surgery and hepatology research.
This is a key role within the unit; the main responsibility is to undertake the essential day-to-day trial administration for a variety of studies on the ICTU portfolio to help ensure that the studies are conducted to the highest scientific, ethical and regulatory standards. To achieve this, the pro-active post holder will be working closely with all of the Trial Managers/Monitors in the unit. In addition, the Clinical Trials Administrator provides general administrative support to the Operations Managers and, when required, also undertakes data management duties to assist the study teams.
1. You will have a degree or equivalent in a biomedical/ scientific/ statistical or allied field.
2. Proven administrative and secretarial capabilities with experience of implementing multi-user file management systems in research/general administration, preferably within the NHS or an academic institution.
3. You will have awareness of clinical trials and associated regulations (EU Clinical Trials Directive/The Medicines For Human Use Regulations, GCP, GDPR, Research Governance Framework, Human Tissue Authority).
4. A motivated, well organised person.
5. Someone who can work effectively as part of a team as well as alone.
6. You must have proven experience of using the MS Office package.
