Electrician – Renewable Energy Systems Various sites across Hampshire & surrounding counties Full-time | Permanent Our client: A leading renewable energy contractor specialising in solar PV, battery storage, and low-carbon heating technologies About the Role Unify is supporting our client—a forward-thinking renewable energy contractor—in their search for a qualified Electrician with proven experience in solar PV systems, battery storage, and air source heat pump (ASHP) integration. This is a key role within a growing team delivering high-quality, sustainable energy solutions across domestic and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities * Install, commission, and maintain solar PV systems, battery storage units, and ASHP electrical connections * Carry out domestic and commercial electrical installations in line with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations * Conduct electrical testing, inspection, and certification of installations * Work collaboratively with heating engineers and other trades to deliver integrated renewable solutions * Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely * Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety standards, and relevant legislation * Maintain accurate records of work, materials, and test results using internal systems * Provide technical input during project planning and assist with system commissioning * Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices in renewables and energy efficiency Essential Skills & Qualifications NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) 18th Edition (BS 7671) qualification ECS Gold Card or equivalent Demonstrable experience in solar PV installation and ASHP electrical integration Strong understanding of inverters, control systems, and renewable energy technologies Competent in fault finding, testing, and certification procedures Full UK driving licence Desirable Skills & Qualifications 2391 / (Apply online only) Inspection & Testing qualification MCS accreditation or experience working within MCS-certified systems Experience with battery storage installation Familiarity with EV charger installation Knowledge of smart home and energy management systems Personal Attributes Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Positive attitude with a focus on safety and teamwork Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively Committed to continuous professional development What’s on Offer Competitive salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Ongoing training and development in renewable technologies Company vehicle and tools provided Pension and holiday benefits Clear progression opportunities within a growing business If you’re an experienced electrician looking to advance your career in the renewables sector, we’d love to hear from you.
