This is a post for a part-time 7-session Specialty Doctor in Rehabilitation Psychiatry working within the Pan-Dorset Mental Health Complex Care Service, which provides comprehensive community and inpatient services to patients registered with general practitioners within Dorset.

* Two inpatient rehab units: Nightingale House in Bournemouth (east) and Glendinning in Dorchester (west).

The service offers specialist assessments, treatment interventions, and support to enable recovery for individuals with complex needs beyond the scope of general adult mental health services.

Responsibilities include:
* Providing medical treatment within a multidisciplinary care model.
* Attending weekly clinical team meetings and performing associated medical duties.
* Compiling patient histories from various sources, preparing case and discharge summaries.
* Preparing reports for Mental Health Review Tribunals and Managers’ Hearings, and giving evidence.
* Liaising with clinical teams within and outside the trust.
* Coordinating with general practitioners and medical specialists regarding patients’ physical health.
* Conducting specialist assessments relevant to the service, such as forensic, learning disabilities, CAMHS, etc.
* Assessing out-of-area patients.
