We’re looking for an organised, computer-literate Bodyshop Advisor/Administrator to join our clients busy commercial bodyshop, offering a genuine opportunity to train and progress into a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) role.
This is a varied, office-based position with strong links to the workshop, customers, and insurers—ideal for someone with some automotive or trade knowledge who’s keen to develop more technical skills over time.
🚐 About the Business
My client is a commercial bodyshop carrying out:
* Internal repair work
* Private customer repairs
* Insurance work
You’ll be working in a fast-paced but supportive environment where quality, organisation, and communication really matter.
📋 The Role
This role is similar to a Service Advisor position, with a strong focus on administration and customer communication.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing customer updates via phone and email
* Handling job administration and documentation
* Liaising closely with the workshop, customers, and insurers
* Supporting vehicle drop-offs and occasional face-to-face customer interaction
* Assisting with damage assessment and repair processes over time
💡 All pricing and estimates are completed longhand (not Audatex), so attention to detail and a willingness to learn are essential.
🎓 Training & Progression – Trainee VDA
For the right person, this role offers a clear pathway into Vehicle Damage Assessment. You’ll gain:
* Hands-on exposure to estimating and repair methods
* On-the-job learning alongside experienced professionals
* Structured development toward a VDA role

* Highly organised with strong admin skills

⏰ Hours & Benefits
* Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
* 20 days holiday + bank holidays + long service leave
* Competitive salary £32,000 – £38,000, depending on experience
