We’re trialling a 4-Day Working Week as part of our commitment to staff wellbeing. You could be working one day less a week (or equivalent). 4DWW will be rolled out within our school when we have a full complement of staff, and within the next year. This is an exciting time to join OFG as a SEN Teacher at Bower Lodge School, Dibden, Southampton.
Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Bower Lodge School, Dibden, Southampton, SO45 5TD
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Start: January 2026

Responsibilities
* Deliver creative, personalised lessons for pupils with complex SEN/ASC needs.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences.
* Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued.
Requirements
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or Qualified Teacher Learning (suitable for ECTs or newly qualified teachers).
* Nationally recognised degree.
* Experience and passion for working with SEN/ASC pupils.
* Calm, engaging, and resilient, with an innovative teaching style.
* Commitment to pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusive education.

Bower Lodge School is a brand-new specialist day school in Dibden, Southampton, for boys and girls aged 4–11 with a diagnosis of autism and a range of complex learning, communication, and sensory needs.
Our new Options Primary School has capacity for 40 pupils and is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and tailored learning environment where autistic young people can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Options Autism has provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties for over 16 years. We are a leading provider of education for neurodivergent young people and young adults.
