Cambridge Adult Locality Team
This post provides consultant clinical leadership and patient care within our community mental health team in South Cambridge.
Alongside a team of substantive consultants, you will assess and treat all patients in your area. Consultant psychiatrists work with a sector team covering a geographical patch. They also collaborate with staff from the Primary Care Mental Health Service (PCMH) team, which supports and assesses patients in primary care and refers patients to the team when needed. Consultants are expected to build close relationships with their assigned GPs, support and supervise the Primary Care Mental Health team, and provide care to patients requiring specialist mental health services.
Main duties of the job
* Provide Consultant input to the community mental health team
* Adhere to local and national employment directives regarding managed medical personnel and comply with NHS and Trust policies
