Opened in September 2024, Ormston School provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 18. Your Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
* Teach small bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant.
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of your students.
* Assess and monitor pupil progress, making effective use of assessment data.
* Adapt your teaching strategies to inspire and motivate all learners.
* Prepare students for external tests and ensure they meet high standards.
* Teach across the KS3/KS4 Curriculum, with a focus on SEND adaptations.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Experience in Humanities, PE, or vocational subjects is preferred.
* A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* Strong relationship-building skills with pupils and a commitment to safeguarding practices.
* Good ICT skills to enhance learning experiences.
