About the Role



You will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling and administering assurance activities across PPP (Programme & Project Partners) projects to ensure Commissioning and Construction arrangements are compliant, effective and aligned to the PPP Way. You will act as the central coordination point for assurance interventions, supporting delivery of Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 assurance activities, maintaining assurance schedules, drafting Lines of Enquiry (LoE), producing reports, and driving action close out across the projects. You will provide visibility of assurance status across the programme and support continuous improvement in delivery performance. You will assist to integrate the partners approach to Process to ensure a collaborative ‘PPP Way’ is developed, implemented that includes the requirements for Start-up, Commissioning and Pre-operations. This role is suitable for an individual building experience in Commissioning or Construction assurance, and who is able to develop towards a more senior assurance role.



Responsibilities



* You will contribute to the Collaborative Management Plan for Start-up, Commissioning and Pre-operations and interfaces with other CMP’s.
* You will develop and maintain a Commissioning & Construction Assurance Schedule across PPP projects.
* You will coordinate assurance activities in line with PPP programme governance, Project and Capability priorities.
* Engage with Commissioning Startup Management, Construction Management and Project Teams to confirm readiness for assurance interventions.
* Ensure assurance activities are appropriately planned, resourced and communicated.
* Monitor progress against the assurance schedule and provide forward visibility to the PPP CSu Capability Lead.
* Develop structured Lines of Enquiry for Commissioning and Construction assurance reviews.
* Issue LoE in advance of reviews to ensure effective preparation & readiness.
* Continuously improve LoE templates based on learning and trends.
* Attend assurance reviews and issue output reports capturing evidence, observations and findings in a structured manner ensuring reviews are objective, evidence-based and aligned to scope, arrangements and procedures.
* Maintain a live assurance action tracker across all projects and monitor progress of actions and engage with action owners to drive close out.
* Provide RAG status reporting and escalation where required.
* Identify recurring themes and systemic issues.
* Provide regular assurance status reports to PPP CSu & Construction Capability and Project Leadership.
* Support lessons learned capture and feedback into PPP processes.
* Promote a positive assurance culture focused on improvement, compliance and delivery of a PPP Way.
* You will assist in the development and implementation of the ‘PPP Way’ in delivery of Start-up, Commissioning and Pre-operations Assurance.
* You will provide advice and learning to the PPP organisation on Start-up, Commissioning and Pre-operations delivery.
* You will establish and maintain visual management systems for the purpose of reviewing and reporting progress, performance, events, and taking appropriate corrective action.


Qualifications



* Experience in coordinating Commissioning and Pre-Operational work within highly regulated environment with demonstratable evidence of success against agreed project schedules.
* Demonstrable experience coordinating assurance or compliance activities.
* Demonstrable experience in supporting multi-disciplined teams.
* Experience managing schedules and tracking actions.
* Demonstrate successful experience in stakeholder engagement.
* Computer literate (MS applications including Word, Excel) with evidence of producing commissioning test documentation and reports.


Required Skills



* Experience supporting Tiered Assurance activities.
* Experience within the Nuclear Sector.
* Familiarity with PPP governance arrangements.


Preferred Skills



* The ability to drive team and individual accountability whilst providing ongoing team guidance and support.
* Challenging attitude – willingness to intervene if observing unsafe acts or non-compliance – prepared to have the difficult conversation.
* Able to work collaboratively to achieve successful project output/outcomes.
* Able to drive the programme led approach to delivery of Start-Up, Commissioning and Pre-operations across PPP.
* Ability to work autonomously with light touch supervision – including remotely from team.
* A proactive and balanced approach to safety (nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental) to ensure that safety is optimised during project delivery and for operations.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Confident communicator able to challenge constructively.
