Job Description
Due to expansion, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts assistant to join their existing finance team to support their day-to-day accounting operations.
You will be the type of person who is detail-oriented and enjoys working autonomously within a team, whilst providing support where needed.
Our client works in a fast-paced commercial environment, so you will be kept busy and involved, allowing you to immerse yourself within the business.

As the Accounts Assistant, you will be:
* Assisting in maintaining accurate financial records and processing transactions.
* Handling purchase and sales ledger duties, including invoice processing and reconciliations.
* Liaising with suppliers and customers regarding account queries.
* Preparing supplier payment runs and customer refunds.
* Preparing and posting journals.
* Supporting bank reconciliations and monitoring cash flow.
* Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Working closely with the Group Financial Controller on ad hoc tasks and projects.
As the Accounts Assistant, you will have:
* Experience in an accounts assistant or similar finance role.
* Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
* Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
