About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Secondary RE Teacher to join a secondary school in the L35 area. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, we are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic educator to inspire and nurture students.
Secondary RE Teacher
Location: L35
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term
Working Hours: Full-time, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Pay: Paid to scale
Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning and delivering lessons: Designing and teaching lessons that explore religious traditions, moral values, and philosophical ideas
2. Assessing student progress: Mark assignments, provide feedback, and track student performance to ensure learning objectives are met.
3. Classroom management: Maintaining discipline and creating a safe, respectful learning environment
4. Supporting student development: Mentor students, helping them develop both academic and life skills.
5. Collaborating with parents and colleagues: Communicate with parents about student progress and work with fellow educators to improve teaching strategies.
Requirements:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
7. Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
8. Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
9. Right to Work in the UK.
10. Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
11. Ability to provide two professional references.
