We are looking for a Preceptorship Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) / Preceptorship Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) with a current/upcoming UK Pin number and a passion for delivering outstanding care.
You will be working 42 hours per week, across days, nights & weekends, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Kenney House.
Cygnet Kenney House is our hospital for women, located in Oldham. The services provide a safe and secure care pathway for women with mental health need and are now open. We have collaborated with the NHS to develop services to support women from the North West to be treated closer to home.
There are three wards at Cygnet Kenney House: Billington Ward, a 12 bed specialist Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU); Baldock Ward, a 16 bed Acute service; and Harben Ward, a 16 bed mental health rehabilitation and recovery service.
Main duties of the job
* Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
* Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality.
* Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing.
* Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals.
* Administer prescribed medicines within Healthcare procedures and Health Commission guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
* Open, compassionate, honest & resilient.
* Newly Qualified RMN / RNLD with a current valid registration/upcoming registration.
* Capable of maintaining documentation and undertaking audits.
* Well informed of the Mental Health Act 1983 & have an understanding of latest nursing practices.
* Focused on patient recovery to monitor, manage & reduce risk.
