About the role
Due to an increase in investment into the Burton Brewery, we are looking for a Controls/Electrical Engineer to join our projects team in the delivery of major CAPEX projects and upgrades within the site. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to learn new skills in a new environment. Reporting to the Project & OT Manager, this role will play a key part of our success journey and you will be involved in the following:
* Role Responsibilities: ensure performance, reliability, and compliance of brewery automation systems in alignment with Carlsberg Group standards for automation, cybersecurity, and networking.
* Drive improvement in the brewery's overall reliability by proactively maintaining, troubleshooting, and calibrating instrumentation and control equipment.
* Responsible for access management to OT systems, local & remote users.
* Carry out technical diagnostics and automation/electrical troubleshooting and actively support resolutions.
* Support the roll out of IT/OT cybersecurity training across site personnel.
* Support and lead development for diagnostic processes for automation and electrical installations, where applicable.
* Coordinate with Projects Team to supervise/drive technical implementation of new automation/electrical systems or hardware upgrades/extensions in the local plant.
* Coordinate investments planning with Group and Regional CAPEX managers for all electrical & automation topics.
Experience and qualifications
* Bachelor/Engineering Degree in Electrical / Automation, Process Engineering, Software Engineering, or relevant areas.
* Experience of OT, automation, and/or networking in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with a focus on OT/Networking/Automation-focused projects.
* Knowledge of PLC software and the ability to program, modify, and troubleshoot control programs using site-specific software (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell).
* Knowledge and skills to support and develop PCS/SCADA/HMI software systems, including hardware management and maintenance.
* Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to align on project goals and expectations.
