Are you a dedicated and caring individual seeking a rewarding role as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant? We have an exciting opportunity at a small, welcoming school in Southampton. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic HLTA to join us on a full-time, long-term basis, starting immediately. This role involves supporting and teaching ASD learners at Key Stage 2.

Responsibilities:
1. Support students with ASD at Key Stage 2 through one-on-one and group support, aiding their academic, social, and emotional development.
2. Implement individualised learning plans in collaboration with teachers and SENCOs, ensuring students' needs are met.
3. Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters independence and active participation.
4. Help students develop communication and social skills using appropriate strategies and resources.
5. Assist with personal care tasks as needed, ensuring student safety and well-being.
6. Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff, sharing insights to inform support strategies.
7. Monitor and record student progress, behaviours, and achievements, providing feedback to staff.
8. Engage in professional development to stay updated with best practices for supporting students with ASD.
9. Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates.
10. Follow school policies, including safeguarding and health and safety protocols.
