Job reference number 338491 – Site Supervisor (Cleaning Supervisor).
Location: Glasgow / Edinburgh region. Permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £27,700 (non‑negotiable) plus a work vehicle and fuel card, potential 6% bonus; 22.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays; Defined Contribution Pension Plan.
You will manage teams of Cleaning Operatives across 4 sites in Glasgow and Edinburgh, ensuring cleaning services meet quality standards and customer expectations.
Accountabilities
* Supervise up to 23 team members across 4 sites, leading service delivery and ensuring consistent high‑quality standards; coach, train and develop staff.
* Plan and utilize resources effectively.
* Partner with Soft Services Manager to support financial budgets, identify savings via reduced overtime, surplus hours and absenteeism.
* Help deliver the regional financial business plan by implementing initiatives to cut material costs and improve operational efficiency.
* Be the primary point of contact for FM‑related issues, escalations and underperformance across the sites.
* Manage stock and resources to minimise disruption and unnecessary costs.
* Support energy and environmental policies through monitoring and continuous improvement.
* Ensure all weekly site inspections are completed accurately and on time, with action plans.
* Maintain full compliance with health and safety legislation and policies; record, report and investigate accidents, incidents or breaches.
* Cover for Soft Services Manager when required (e.g., annual leave or planned absences).
Attendance
Predominately Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and infrequent weekend attendance. Flexibility is essential to manage early (6 am), late (2 pm) and night (10 pm) shifts across sites.
About you – qualifications and experience
* Experience managing large teams of Cleaning Operatives, including performance management, training and development.
* Background in Soft Services FM.
* Knowledge of H&S, including COSHH, and familiarity with cleaning methods such as BICS.
* Ability to build and develop relationships with key customers, adding value and improving satisfaction.
* Strong IT skills (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel).
* Full valid UK manual driving licence.
Location
Role requires travel across sites in the G, EH, ML or FK postcode areas. Work vehicle provided for work purposes only (no private use).
