London & South West | Field‑Based Role (Ideally within 20 miles of Basingstoke)

We're now looking for a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer / Multi‑Skilled Engineer to join our growing engineering team, supporting our SWR rail contract across London and the Southwest.
The Role – What You'll Be Doing
You'll deliver high‑quality planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse portfolio of commercial sites, working safely, professionally, and collaboratively.
On Call requirement
Key responsibilities include:
1. Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across air conditioning, mechanical, electrical and building fabric systems (dependent on skills).
2. Maintaining, repairing and fault‑finding on AC systems including split systems, VRV/VRF and heat pumps.
3. Carrying out installations, upgrades and minor modifications where required.
4. Ensuring all work complies with current legislation, safety standards and company procedures.
5. Communicating clearly with customers, colleagues, and contractors to ensure smooth service delivery.
6. Accurately completing electronic job records, reports, RAMS and compliance documentation.
7. Supporting continuous improvement by identifying improvements to equipment performance, reliability and efficiency.
8. Providing excellent customer service and proactively identifying maintenance or H&S concerns.
9. Participating in an on‑call rota for emergency works.
Working Pattern & Flexibility
10. Core hours: 08:00 – 17:00
11. Flexible working arrangements where operationally possible
12. Shared on‑call standby rota
What We're Looking For
Essential experience & skills:
13. Experience in commercial maintenance or facilities management
14. Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
15. Ability to plan and prioritise workload
16. Digital job management capability
17. Full UK driving licence
18. Customer‑focused, professional manner
Role‑specific qualifications:
Air Conditioning / HVAC:
19. NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning or Refrigeration
20. F‑Gas Certification
Electrical (if applicable):
21. NVQ Level 3 or Electrical Apprenticeship
22. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
23. Testing & Inspection qualification ( or equivalent)
