LR now seek an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the Executive and Board team. You will need to be a commercially astute, and strategically focused finance leader with a proven track record of the delivery of major capital projects in the construction, transport infrastructure or financial services sectors.
The Role
As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Luton Rising’s financial strategy, governance, and commercial operations. Reporting directly to the MD and serving as a key member of the Board, you will provide expert leadership across all financial, risk and investment functions, ensuring robust financial management of complex, high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the financial strategy and planning for major infrastructure and regeneration programmes.
* Provide clear, strategic financial insight and guidance at Board level, including on funding, investment, debt, equity, risk and M&A activity.
* Ensure rigorous financial governance, budgeting and reporting in line with regulatory and stakeholder requirements.
* Oversee capital financing, including funding models for public-private partnerships and institutional investment.
* Engage with government, local authority, and private sector partners to align financial interests with long-term objectives.
* At the CFO level, lead Treasury management as a strategic function focused on safeguarding financial health, supporting business objectives, and enhancing value for money.
* Develop and sustain relationships with Auditors.
* Build and lead a high-performing finance team that supports sustainable growth and delivery excellence.
The Person
You will be an accomplished CFO, with prior experience in operating at Board level in complex and multi-stakeholder environments with:
* Significant experience with direct and evidential involvement in major capital projects.
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of public-private investment models.
* Exceptional financial leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
* Formal financial qualifications, along with an unrivalled reputation for integrity and impact.
