Stock Controller Our client, a global engineering leader in their field, currently seeks a Stock Controller to provide the business with a comprehensive understanding of stock control systems and analysis. They will use their knowledge and expertise to improve stock control efficiency and accuracy and subsequently reduce stock and work in progress. The Stock Controller will be the focal point for guiding the business through the transition of using stock levels as the primary driver of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to load based stock control based on Bill of Materials (BOMs) / demand. Day-to-day responsibilities include: * Administer the high level systems inputs such as load requirements, stock adjustments, new part set up, existing parts parameters. * Ensure parts are set up correctly in order that automated buying can be used effectively. * Generate reports to track production critical stock & resolve issues. * Assist in perpetual inventory & the annual stock take. * To design modifications to existing reports to ensure reporting needs of the business are met. * To ensure high value stock is allocated to the correct product. * To ensure stock records are correct for high value stock. * To assist in the management of the stores department including recruitment/ appraisals of a team Skills and experience required: * You will possess a good understanding of ERP principles and be a proficient ERP user (Epicor preferred but not essential). * A good knowledge of manufacturing processes or an engineering environment and lean processes. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Project Management experience (system upgrades, integrations or digital transformation projects).
