We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house clinical team at Robins Way School. You will deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessment and intervention to pupils who may have experienced developmental trauma, be neurodivergent or have SEMH needs. You will work within the standards provided in the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working and uphold professional and safeguarding responsibilities. You will hold an occupational therapy caseload with the support of a designated clinical supervisor and site lead, and contribute to staff training and consultation as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver bespoke OT assessment and intervention to pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence or SEMH needs.
* Hold and manage an occupational therapy caseload within an educational setting.
* Collaborate with the education team and multi‑professional services to promote pupil independence.
* Assist in staff training and consultation on OT practice.
* Maintain a safeguarding culture and promote pupils’ rights and decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
* Recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
* Valid HCPC registration.
* Registered member of the RCOT.
* Relevant experience providing OT services within an educational or similar setting.
* Experience working with neurodivergent and/or learning‑difficulty or socio‑emotional and mental health populations.
* Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application to support independence.
* Experience in a multi‑professional setting with teams or services.
* Ability to work independently, be flexible and confident.
* Clear and concise report‑writing skills.
* Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
* Interest in sensory integration or sensory-informed practice (SI practitioner training preferred but not essential).
