Eden Brown Synergy are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Care (CIC) Team with Milton Keynes City Council. Location: Civic Offices, Saxon Gate East, Milton Keynes, MK9 3EJ Rate: £38.00 per hour (Umbrella) Working Pattern: Hybrid - minimum 3 days per week in the office Duties and Responsibilities: * Manage a caseload of looked after children, ensuring care plans are robust and reflect each child's individual needs. * Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and reviews within required timescales. * Support permanence planning, including adoption, long-term fostering, and special guardianship. * Prepare comprehensive reports for courts, panels, and reviews. * Work collaboratively with families, carers, and professionals to promote stability and positive outcomes. * Maintain accurate case recordings and ensure compliance with statutory guidance and council policies. Essential Requirements: * Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent. * Social Work England registration. * Adoption and Children in Care (CIC) experience within the last 5 years. * DfE Cover Sheet (attached) must be completed. * Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Care Planning Regulations.
