Samsung Research UK is seeking a Senior Engineer – Graphics Performance Optimization to join our innovative team in Staines‑upon‑Thames. What You'll Do

* Optimize Android Graphics Stack: Drive innovations to enhance performance and reduce power consumption for gaming applications.
* Develop New Experiences: Extend the Android Graphics framework to unlock groundbreaking user experiences.
* Solve Complex Problems: Take ownership of technical challenges, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
* Leverage Machine Learning: Apply advanced algorithms to optimize gaming performance on Samsung devices.
* Lead Technical Projects: Oversee significant sections of assigned projects, ensuring excellence and innovation.


Who We're Looking For


Required Skills

* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
* Expertise in computer graphics (OpenGL, OpenGL ES, Vulkan, DirectX).
* Proven experience in real‑time embedded software development for mobile devices.
* Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
* Strong system‑level performance analysis and OS fundamentals.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
* Knowledge of Linux/Android frameworks and Android application development.
* Exposure to Machine Learning and Neural Networks.
* Experience in performance analysis and optimization of real‑time graphics applications.
* Familiarity with CPU and GPU hardware architectures.
