Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant

Do you have relevant experience or an interest in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional or Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties)?

Protocol Education is seeking Teaching Assistants to support children with special needs in secondary schools. This role offers valuable insight into working with special needs and is particularly suited for psychology graduates keen to develop their SEN skills and assist with interventions.
Requirements
1. A patient and understanding approach
2. An interest in working with students with SEND
3. Flexibility in your approach
4. An existing DBS check on the update service (new checks can be applied for)
5. Experience working with children or adults with SEND is advantageous but not required
Responsibilities
1. Assist and support the development and learning of students within the school
2. Provide 1:1 and general support to students based on daily requirements
3. Collaborate with other staff to maintain a safe and productive environment
4. Uphold school policies, including behaviour policies

All pay rates are inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanent roles in the future.
