About The Role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity. The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke. We are more than just an alliance; we are bringing together a single delivery organisation with years of learning and experience from other major complex infrastructure programmes worldwide.
What you'll be doing
Support the Environmental Sustainability Manager and wider Environmental Team in the coordination and delivery of ecological mitigation, legislative compliance, and ecological protection during construction activities on the Sizewell C Project. Provide key on-site ecological presence in the form of an Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW), supporting the implementation of ecological controls and requirements through supervision, site monitoring, and advice.
Support the development and delivery of ecological method statements, species licensing compliance, and ongoing site surveys. Liaise with contractors, ecological consultants, and relevant stakeholders to ensure all ecological activities meet the competency and training requirements outlined by Sizewell C, and that mitigation is implemented to best practice standards.
Contribute to toolbox talks, site briefings, and regular ECoW training and support sessions. Maintain high ecological standards across the site and support the ongoing improvement of ecological performance and assurance.
