We’re looking for Hire Controllers with excellent customer service skills who thrive in a busy operational environment to join our team and help us deliver our customer promise - to delight every customer, every time.
In the role of Hire Controller, you'll be responsible for delivering a best-in-class service while using product knowledge and expertise to maximize upselling opportunities. Your days will involve communicating with customers via telephone, email, and responding to website requests. You’ll manage an order from inquiry to post-hire feedback, taking ownership of the customer journey and building relationships with regular customers. For logistics, you will organize all jobs for the following day, allocating them to drivers. You’ll enjoy thinking on your feet and using your initiative to ensure we deliver the best experience for our customers and continue to improve our service.

To succeed in this role, you should have:
* Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably handling inbound order/sales inquiries, successfully completing transactions and satisfying customers
* Experience in the hire or construction industry is advantageous but not essential
* Experience developing and utilizing product knowledge, eager to understand our product range and the wider Sunbelt business
* Exceptional communication skills, including negotiating and influencing, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers
* Good judgment and initiative to make decisions aligned with company policies and pricing structures
* An effective team player with a supportive, collaborative approach
* A flexible, adaptable attitude to manage a varied, fast-paced workday with multiple tasks, deadlines, and targets, maintaining high standards of accuracy
* A commitment to continuous improvement, proactively suggesting and implementing process and service enhancements
* Proficiency in MS Office and enthusiasm for learning new IT systems and technology
