Our client, a renowned company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled SMT/Pick and Place Operator to join their team in Waterlooville, Hants on a temp to perm basis.
Position: Production Assembler, Pick & Place Operative
Reporting to: Production Manager
Main Responsibilities:
* Operating and maintaining the SMT Pick & Place machines and adhering to stringent health & safety requirements, including:
* Programming and setup of Pick & Place machines
* Programming and maintaining reflow oven
* PCBA assembly involving SMT and PTH soldering
* Cable assembly, involving the use of crimp tools
* Electro-mechanical assembly
* Working from customer BOMs/drawings to ensure that manufacturing is completed to required standards
* PCBA rework
Job Requirements:
o Ability to operate Pick & Place machine essential
o Experience in off-line programming of Pick & Place machines (Juki etc.)
o Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
o Excellent component recognition and knowledge
o Ability to work with fine pitch components under a microscope
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information
o Capacity to prioritise a busy workload and excel under pressure
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:00
