Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking a reliable and skilled Transport Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering customers new cars throughout the UK and collecting cars various auction houses to return to our preparation centre. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and be competent in driving a single car transporter and single car trailer combination. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism and customer service.
Responsibilities
* Operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols
* Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and safe for operation
* Load and unload cars, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, routes taken, and any issues encountered
* Communicate effectively with our sales team and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes
* Assist with site duties including preparing transport routes and preparing cars and documents for delivery.
* Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly
Requirements
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role
* Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class required
* Experience with commercial driving is preferred
* Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients
* A commitment to safety and adherence to all transport regulations
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00 per hour
