About the Role
Location: Bristol
OCS Security is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to maintain and enhance relationships with esteemed clients across Public, Private, Construction, Retail and Sports venues. The selected candidate must collaborate with team members, project engineers, and project managers to deliver cutting‑edge solutions and interact with clients and other trades professionally.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Carry out high-quality commissioning of Intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems in line with project specifications.
* Liaise with customers, project managers and the wider OCS team to ensure exceptional service and project outcomes.
* Provide on-site mentoring and leadership for Trainee Engineers.
* Handle technical queries and communicate any site deviations or challenges effectively.
* Complete all relevant documentation promptly after installation.
Experience
* Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in security system installation (Intruder, CCTV, Access Control).
* Working knowledge of IP‑based systems.
* Knowledge of Lenel, Hanwha, Hikvision, Paxton, SALTO, Texecom, Galaxy is an advantage.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* PC literate with good reporting and documentation practices.
* Strong team player and mentor, with the ability to lead and develop junior engineers.
