As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting, operating and, where applicable, programming CNC lathes to produce precision parts from technical drawings. You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, optimising production, and supporting an efficient workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components
Program or edit CNC programs (depending on experience)
Work from technical drawings to tight tolerances
Inspect your own work to ensure accuracy and quality
Optimise machining processes to improve efficiency
Assist with routine machine maintenance and maintain a safe working environment
Essential Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a CNC Turner (setter, operator or programmer)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Experience setting tooling, offsets, and making program edits
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
Multi-axis CNC experience is advantageous but not essential
