We’re Hiring: Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker Organisation: Key Unlocking Futures (part of Progress Housing Group) Salary: £26,806 - £27,743 Location: Agile - with travel in Leyland and Chorley Contract: Permanent Hours: 36.5 hours per week Grade: D (Key) Make a Real Difference, Every Day At Key Unlocking Futures, we support people across Lancashire to overcome some of life’s most difficult challenges. For more than 30 years, we’ve delivered vital services including homelessness support, domestic abuse services and youth counselling - helping over 7,000 people each year to move forward safely and with confidence. We’re now looking for a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker to join our dedicated team in Leyland. This is a rewarding opportunity to support survivors of domestic abuse through trauma-informed, person-centred interventions that genuinely change lives. About the Role As a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker, you will provide high-quality, survivor-centred support to individuals and families affected by domestic abuse. Working in line with our values of kindness, dignity, empowerment and partnership, you will help people to increase safety, rebuild independence and achieve longer-term stability. You will: Deliver one-to-one and group-based outreach support to people experiencing or at risk of domestic abuse Manage a varied caseload, completing risk assessments, safety plans and tailored support plans Provide practical and emotional support, ensuring survivors feel heard, respected and empowered Work closely with partner agencies including housing, health, safeguarding, children’s services and criminal justice Support access to safe accommodation options such as refuge, sanctuary schemes, respite, move-on housing and resettlement Contribute to outreach, early intervention and awareness-raising activity within the community This role combines advocacy, emotional support and practical problem-solving to help survivors move forward with confidence. What We Offer Salary of £26,806 - £27,743 depending on experience 25 days annual leave (full-time equivalent) plus bank holidays A benefits package that supports work-life balance Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Health Cash Plan through Medicash What we are looking for Experience or understanding of working with people affected by domestic abuse and complex needs Ability to manage a mixed caseload, including risk, safeguarding and crisis situations Knowledge of housing pathways, including refuge, move-on accommodation, independent tenancies and safe return home Confidence delivering high-quality casework, including support planning and safety planning A compassionate, non-judgemental and inclusive approach to working with survivors Strong partnership-working skills with statutory and voluntary agencies Ability to build trusting relationships and support people to develop independence and resilience Willingness to work flexibly across 1:1 support, group work and community drop-ins A passion for raising awareness of domestic abuse and improving access to support Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes Join Us If you’re passionate about supporting survivors and want to be part of an organisation that genuinely values its people and its communities, we’d love to hear from you.
