Overview
Full‑time, permanent Band 6 Midwife role at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust. The position involves overseeing a team of Band 6 midwives and maternity support workers, with shift work and on‑call availability.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the midwifery team to deliver safe, high quality care for home and hospital births.
* Provide clinical support, mentoring and CPD for junior staff.
* Engage in clinical audit, quality improvement and evidence‑based practice.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and child protection services.
* Support continuous professional development and educational training for staff.
Essential Qualifications
* Registered midwife with a degree or equivalent experience.
* Experience in community midwifery and promotion of safe home birth.
* Evidence of ongoing professional study.
* Excellent interpersonal and clinical skills, electronic health record proficiency.
* Required to complete a preceptorship and safeguard level 3 training.
Desirable Qualifications
* Leadership/management training or undertaking a Master’s study.
* Demonstrated change management, innovation and MDT collaboration skills.
* Experience of clinical audit, quality issues and research awareness.
* CPD evidence and mentoring/PSPA/SLIP experience.
* Teaching and assessment experience for students.
