Job Description
Sanctuary is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to join its Property Services team as Director of Property Performance. This newly created national role comes at a crucial time in Sanctuary’s improvement journey and offers the opportunity to lead change at scale, enhancing the quality and consistency of property services for residents across England and Scotland.
Working in close partnership with the Director of Property Services, you will play a key role in delivering Sanctuary’s ambition to raise its Consumer Standards grading from C2 to C1. The role is responsible for leading a coordinated performance strategy across key operational areas such as repairs, voids, asset sustainability, and planned maintenance.
You will provide senior leadership across four key functional areas; including performance assurance, responsive repairs, voids management, and sustainability programmes – while influencing regional teams and embedding a strong culture of accountability, insight-led decision making, and customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the national property performance agenda, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and regulatory expectations.
* Oversee operational delivery across key areas including repairs, voids, asset sustainability and performance reporting.
* Champion the use of data and insight (including SAP Analytics Cloud and Salesforce CRM) to drive consistent service improvement.
* Support executive-level reporting and regulatory submissions, acting as a visible leader and trusted advisor to the executive board.
* Drive collaboration across housing, customer service, finance and asset management to deliver integrated service outcomes.
* Build and lead a high-performing team, setting a culture of trust, challenge, and continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for a senior leader with significant experience in property services, asset management or related areas, ideally within a regulated environment such as social housing. You will bring:
* A strong track record in improving operational performance at scale.
* Experience managing through influence in complex, matrixed organisations.
* Proven ability to use data and performance insight to drive service change.
* Confidence engaging at executive and board level, with a clear understanding of compliance and governance.
* A collaborative and values-led leadership style.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of property services in a large, national organisation committed to delivering safe, high-quality homes and services.
