Sandwell Council is extending and strengthening its borough-wide Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Service as part of a significant investment to deliver a single front door and structured triage model.
We are seeking a Quality and Performance Officer to lead performance, intelligence and quality assurance across the ASB service. This is a key role within the new operating model, ensuring robust oversight, consistent case management standards and a clear, evidence-based understanding of ASB demand, risk and outcomes.
The role includes:
* Designing and maintaining the ASB performance framework and dashboards
* Producing structured reports for Borough and Town Tasking and senior leaders
* Leading the ASB quality assurance cycle, including case audits and compliance checks
* Overseeing statutory processes including ASB Case Reviews (Community Trigger)
* Stewarding the case management system, templates and recording standards
* Line managing the Quality & Performance Assistant and ASB Assistants
* Translating data trends into clear tasking recommendations and service improvements
* This role is central to ensuring the service operates safely, consistently and in line with statutory guidance.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience of managing performance frameworks, dashboards and structured reporting
* Experience undertaking quality assurance or case audit activity within a regulatory or public service environment
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present clear recommendations
* Experience of supervising or line managing staff
* Ability to manage sensitive information and ensure GDPR compliance
This is a high-profile role supporting a service managing complex community harm, safeguarding risk and statutory responsibilities. The successful candidate will be analytical, accountable and confident in driving continuous improvement.
