First for Education are seeking passionate and adaptable Humanities Teachers to join our network of outstanding secondary schools across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
We’re looking for dedicated educators who can teach across the Humanities subjects, including History, Geography, Religious Education (RE), and Social Sciences. Whether you specialise in one or can teach multiple disciplines, we have a range of exciting opportunities available.
This is a fantastic role for teachers who want to inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students make meaningful connections between the past, present, and future.
The Role
As a Humanities Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).

Create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration.
*
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
*
Encourage analytical thinking, discussion, and debate.
*
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school aims.
What We’re Looking For
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
*
Strong subject knowledge in one or more Humanities areas.
*
Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
*
Passion for inspiring students and promoting a love of learning.
*
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
