About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into classrooms to deliver pre-prepared lessons during teacher absences. The role involves supervising students across various year groups and subjects, maintaining discipline, and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning. It’s a dynamic role requiring adaptability, communication skills, and a genuine interest in student development.
Responsibilities Include:
* Managing and supervising classrooms during teacher absences.
* Delivering pre-set lesson plans and encouraging students to stay focused.
* Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Monitoring and recording attendance and behaviour.
* Supporting students’ individual educational needs as required.
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure consistency in learning.
What You Bring to the Role:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A confident and approachable attitude to engage with students.
* Previous experience working with young people, preferably in education.
* Flexibility to adapt to different subjects and classroom environments.
* A proactive approach to supporting students’ progress.
