Join our Gas Services Europe & Africa UK & Ireland team as Head of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) and contribute to reimagining the world—finding innovative solutions and making it smarter for future generations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced EHS professional to join Siemens Energy as Head of EHS for GS EU&AF UK&IE EQS. The role covers operations across the UK and Ireland, including the Newcastle facility, service maintenance sites, and wider service activities throughout the region.

How You’ll Make an Impact

1. Lead and advise the GS EU&AF UK&IE leadership and management teams on all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS).
2. Develop, implement, and maintain effective EHS management systems aligned with regulatory, customer, and Siemens Energy requirements, including ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO50001.
3. Champion a Zero Harm culture by promoting best practices and continuous improvement across all EHS activities.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive EHS culture, covering occupational health and safety, process safety, environmental protection, energy management, and wellbeing.
5. Collaborate closely with internal teams and report operationally to the Head of GS EU&AF UK&IE, with functional accountability to the Head of GS EU&AF EQS.
6. Engage regularly with external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, regulators, auditors, and other Siemens Energy business areas.

What You Bring

7. Proven ability to lead EHS teams, set direction, and align strategies with business goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
8. strong understanding of UK EHS legislation and industry standards ( ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001), with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
9. Skilled in building collaborative relationships across internal teams, external partners, regulators, and customers to drive EHS performance and governance.
10. Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks, including emergency planning and contractor management.
11. Ability to develop and use performance metrics, audits, and incident data to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
12. Background in sectors such as energy, engineering, construction, or heavy industry, with relevant qualifications ( NEBOSH Certificate and Diploma or equivalent).

Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonisation. With a focus on zero or low-emission power generation, we bring all gas turbines under one roof, along with steam turbines and generators. We capitalise on decarbonisation opportunities through our service offerings, modernisation, and the digitalisation of our fleet.
